helpWill the people on the other side of the call see Rupert?
No. Rupert is not a meeting bot — it doesn't join the participants list, doesn't show up in the recording, doesn't transmit any audio of its own. The whisper panel is rendered on your screen only.
helpWhere is the puzzle-piece icon I'm supposed to click?
In Chrome, it lives in the top-right area of the toolbar, just left of your profile picture. In Edge, it's a similar icon labeled "Extensions." Click it, find Rupert, click the pin icon next to it.
helpMicrophone permission was denied. How do I re-enable?
Open
chrome://settings/content/microphone, scroll to the Allowed list, and add the meeting domain. Reload the tab and Rupert will pick up the stream.helpI'm on a managed device. Can my admin block this?
Yes — managed Chrome policies can block extension installation. We provide a force-install policy for IT teams that want Rupert standardized across the org. See enterprise deployment docs.
helpWhy isn't Safari supported yet?
Safari's extension APIs don't yet expose the meeting tab audio stream the way Chromium and Gecko do. We're working with the WebKit team. ETA: Q3 2026.
helpWhat's the smallest meeting platform you support?
If it runs in a browser tab and uses WebRTC for audio, we support it. That covers Meet, Zoom, Teams, Webex, Around, Whereby, Discord, LinkedIn, Slack Huddles, and any HTML5 voice call.
